
Merit Award Selection Committee
Key Information:

The Merit selection committees run from Thursday May 1st to Wednesday May 21st, 2025

The deadline for signups is this Friday, March 28th, 2025

Selector Orientation is Tuesday, April 15th at 5pm (For new and returning selectors)

Selectors will be given access to review applications by mid-April​
  
The process of reviewing the applications:

Applications will be posted online by mid-April. You will receive an email notifying you when the applications are available to view in your account.  You will have at least two weeks to review and rank the applications prior to your committee meeting

Review each individual application (approx. 35 - 40) in the online application system

Provide a score for each application

Rank applications within each school
-
Come to the meeting prepared to discuss your top-ranked candidates, on a school-by-school basis

Selectors have up until the day before their meeting date (in May) to submit their final scores in
The Selection Meeting with your committee of up to 6 other participants and chair will:

Start at 12:00pm or 6:00pm

Meet via an online platform (Zoom, Webex, Google Meets, MS Teams)

Discuss and rank applications for approximately 1.5 - 2 hours
